Rain and Shine

Spring is just around the corner, although it feels like Spring already in NY. And, since the weather can be a bit rain ridden this time of year, trench coats are a wardrobe must! machang Pichot, of Aoharu,  has created a gorgeous line of 'Spring Trench Coats', which are also made of mesh. machang's texturing is amazing and perfect. Letting Go....

Now, I know Suri (aka Suriko Leimes of The Bunneh Files) had told you a little story about what happened to us, while club hopping the other night. But, she LIES!!!! She would like you to think that we were escaping a *cough cough* fire at some club. However, the truth is that Suri has BIG mouth! She pissed off a 'Cher-esque' looking drag queen (down in the meat packing district), by saying that she didn't look like Cher at all! She also told one of 'Cher's' friends that her 'Choos' were fake! So we were chased by a mob of angry drag queens for at least 20 blocks. We made a clean get away by jumping over couple of roof tops and then about 10 stories to ground, only to be saved by Suri's super platformed boots from the 'Show Your Strength' ensemble from SAKIDE (avail @ Back to Black). They really made for a good cushion. Suri may have a bad mouth, but she still saved the day and my boots. I am really exhausted, so I will try to make this post brief. First, I am happy to say that designer extraordinaire, Bella Bombast of UZURI, is creating again! The Deep Freeze

Well, it really should be freezing here in NY, but it is rather mild in comparison to Winters past. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining, but something is definitely amiss. So, for my first post of the New Year... Oh! Happy New Years everyone!!! I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2012! I should have an 'official' New Years post up later today  ^^ Anyway, I figured I would feature some cozy looks from a couple of my favorite designers. I have a 'HERRINGBONE MAXI SKIRT' & 'ANNIE SWEATER', from Applonia Criss of CHANTKARE. This outfit is gorgeous!!! You have an oversized and super comfy wool sweater that is mixed with an beautifully tailored maxi skirt. Winter wear at it's most fabulous.
I also have an amazing and recently released 'Sangos Winter Cardigan', which was created by the uber talented Maya Levane of Tokidoki. This fleece lined wool cadi is the perfect winter staple and you can wear it with or without sleeves too. It comes in 6 beautiful colors as well. My Love Affair with -Glam Affair's-, 'Layla'

When I saw in my messages that skin and fashion guru, Aida Ewing, sent me review copies of her latest skin, 'Layla', I nearly fainted! And it wasn't becuase I have been sick. As a blogger, having the chance to review such lovely creations is definitely a dream come true.
'Layla' is absolutely stunning! But then again, I have never worn a skin from 'Glam Affair' that I didn't truely adore. Her features are young, fresh and have the most perfectly pouty lips. The body is expertly rendered, giving 'Layla' a lean and nicely toned body. Her stomach is one of my favorite parts! 'Layla' is available in several skin tones, so their is a shade for everyone. However, I am showing med tan, natural and light tones. 'Layla' also comes in 14 stunning make-ups, which vary from very natural to a more glam appearance. Plus, there is also a 'clean' version that has no make-up (this makes for a total of 15 make-ups). There is a color to suit any wardrobe need and all are equally gorgeous. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite make-up shade! If that is not enough, she comes with 2 brow colors, 4 eyebrow shapes, 2 hairbase options and even several pubic layer options!
I have to admit that I was really nervous creating and writing this post. I bounced back and forth between using Kirsten's for shadows and Phoenix for no shadows. It's been a long time since I have done a 'Look of the Day', but I really needed to do one to get back on track. Nothing was working right in SL today. First I couldn't TP anywhere and then I couldn't attach any prims. Luckily, I am far from homeless in SL or I would have been walking around with one boot on or with ugly bare avi feet. Actually, add a beat-up shopping cart and that might work. Hmm.... Okay, let's be real.... In the whole scheme of things, this is all trivial and silly stuff. However, when you have deadlines and gorgeous new stuff to blog, it can be a huge pain in the tush. So, with that said, I have been dying to blog this 'SassyDress', created by Fashionboi Landar of  HouseOfFox. What makes this dress is even more fab, is that you can pick it up for almost nothing at 'The Fashion Garret' ( around $70L, but don't quote me)! The only difficulty I had was with the styling. I had seen this dress posted on so many blogs and flickr that the options were becoming less available.There were many ways that I wanted to style this dress that were already done. The latest from ~*INDIE ROSE*~

Angelina Eizenberg has created yet another gorgeous collection! I always adore Angelina's romantic and feminine pieces that throughly display all the thought and care she puts into them. I know this post is a bit late again, but better late than never. Besides, these are designs that are always worth a second a glance. With this release, Angelina created a line a carefully sculpted blouses, called the 'Satin Belt Blouse', in brilliant pastel shades (e.g. beige, pink, lavender, blue and yellow). Angelina also designed some lovely 'Floral Skirts', which match the aforementioned tops beautifully. I love the whispy and silky textures of these 'Floral Skirts'. They have a slight boho feel to them too; another definite plus!.

In contrast to light 'floral skirts', Angelina also came out with a line of full knee-length 'denim skirts'. This is definitely a refreshing alternative to all the denim minis out there. Once again, Angelina does not lose her eye for detail and renders another wonderful piece. The denim skirts; which come in dark and light washes of blue, grey and brown; also go will with the 'Satin Belt Top'. However, as you can see, I chose to show some different wear options. One thing that I have always appreciated about Angelina's clothes, is the fact that she always gives you every layer imaginable. The ways you can style her pieces are practically endless!

 Now, to top everything off, Angelina also created a line of shoes to match this collection. Her 'Stap Chunky Heels' have a bit a retro feel to them with the scalloped detailing around the back and the chunky heel. They are nicely textured in coordinating floral an denim fabrics. They are perfect! Plus, they come with a super easy to use HUD. Matching my skin tone took no more than a minute!

Once again, Angelina managed to create a fabulous and cohesive line of clothes, which are just in time for Spring. I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve for the upcoming months!
