It All Fades to Gray

I have a bunch of fabulous new releases to show you. One of them was supposed to be over a week ago, since it was a 'limited couture' exclusive, but it never published on my blog (I stupidly put in the wrong date).  I am so sorry if it is gone and I can't believe I made such a terrible error. Anyway, I have a bunch of new creations from the fabulous aida Ewing of -Glam Affair- and ~Tableau Vivant~. The first is  a 'Wear Gray For Day' event exclusive and the other is the first in series of 'themed props' and skins.
The 'Wear Gray' exclusive, is a stunning desaturated (i.e. gray) skin tone that comes with a bunch of brilliantly colored eye tattoos. Plus, the proceeds go to great cause to help raise funds towards various Brain Cancer Research foundations. The next beautiful skin is part of the previously stated 'theme' collaboration by -Glam Affair- and ~Tableau Vivant~, called 'Demoness of Lava'. This was for 'Limited Couture', so it may be gone. I am so sorry if it is. The captivating black skin with a flaming mesh pant layer, blends seamlessly with the lava filled set. This is truly a brilliant idea and creation. Perfect for artists and photographers. I was lucky to have my good friend and uber talented artist, LouLou Teichmann, do this photo with me. In the 'Gray' pics, I am also wearing a gorgeous new dress that is collaboration between *LpD* and h.m.a.e.m., called 'Mrs. BeBop'. Nevery Lorakeet and riri Bazar make a fabulous team and created one stunning frock. A definite WIN! So here are your limos:

In The Flesh...

I hate being so behind, because my pics always looks like crap. I always get a brain blockage when I am pressed for time and nothing seems to work. I also feel bad, because a good a friend of mine happily volunteered her services to find the perfect place to take my pictures. I agreed in a very grumpy manner, not because of her, but because I just was feeling down and lacking confidence. She did find the cutest location, but because of possible post processing issues, I chose another space in this wonderful SIM. And, even if I didn't show it at the time, I sincerely appreciate all her help and positive energy.
Anyway, speaking of late and seriously behind, this post is wayyyyyyyy overdue. It is from Fleshtone's latest big release, which is AMAZING! It also includes new hair from Truth Hawks. And more of the fabulous new skin release, called 'Kae', from Lara Hurley.

La Legere

 Aeon Perian, even though I only become acquainted with his designs fairly recently, is one of favorite SL designers. His imagination has no limits! He can go from avant garde to subdued 'city chic', while still maintaining his amazing sense of style and eye for detail. Aeon's use of patterns and textures has truly impressed me. He can make two opposing forces, look like they were made for one another. This aspect of his work, is very apparent in his latest mesh dress, called 'La Legere'. This dress is STUNNING and a definite Spring MUST have! I highly suggest you go down and see all the brilliant patterns and colors in comes in for yourself. However, it is rigged mesh, so make sure you try a demo first. Just in case you do not know, rigged mesh can not be modified. However, I have not really had an issue with mesh not fitting, since it always comes in a few different sizes. Here is your limo to ~plank couture~:

I also must mention that Lara Hurley just released another fabulous new skin, called 'Kae'. Like all her skins, 'Kae' is comes in soft make-ups and luminous skin tones. Plus, Lara gives you a ton of extra lip and eye make-ups for unlimited looks. I have yet to wear a skin from Lara that doesn't make my avatar look more than amazing. Plus, they fit just about any shape. I find this especially true with 'Kae'. So, tp your butt on over to Lara Hurley Skins and try on a demo now! Here is your limo:

I'm Trying To Catch-up...

I just wanted to apologize yet again for how behind I am. I am recovering from being pretty ill, plus I have had a lot of crazy RL stuff going on over the last few weeks. So, suffice to say, I had to put my blogging on the back burner and take care of things...not to mention myself. I will be working as hard as I can to catch-up. However, I also need to take care of my health, so I may not be able to crank out 2 posts a day. I may not be able to post everyday, but I will do my best. I am soooooo thankful to all the designers who have stood behind me. It really means a lot to me and I am so grateful for your understanding. I am also not angry at those who dropped me. I am sad, but I understand that every designer has different needs. I love you all regardless.
Anyway, in more exciting news, the fabulous Mimikri Kit went mesh! And let me just say, you would never know this was her first attempt. Her beautiful new 'Jada' suede pants and tanks are simply stunning! Mimi really is on par with her textures, which for me  is a huge issue with mesh. If a designer's texturing is poor, chances are their mesh creations look like bad polyester pants. Thankfully, Mimi's eye for detail helped her turn out these new mesh separates in style!
And, speaking of new mesh masters, I am wearing Truth Hawks other latest release (aka 'Barbabra'). Well, it was from last week, but I am still behind. So let's just pretend it is this week. Anyway, 'Barbara' is gorgeous with jaw dropping texture. She even comes with an additional prim attachment for more realistic movement. I think this is truly a brilliant idea, since movement is what is still missing from many mesh hairstyles. I also can not wait until mesh is re-sizable, because one size does not fit all (especially with mesh hair). Many of you may find you have to reshape your head, which I did quickly and poorly in the following pics. I was running behind, so I didn't have time to fuss with it :( For those of you who may not want to change their shape (trust me, Truth's hair is worth changing your shape for), please make sure you TRY A DEMO! There are still some kinks to worked-out with mesh, so make sure it fits before buying. Fortunately, SL technology moves fast, so mesh should be wearing better than ever in a few months. What a MESH!?

More fabulous mesh creations from my favorite designers. I still am having my own personal issues with mesh. *LOL* I wish I could say I LOVE it, but I can not. Now, don't get me wrong, the textures and details are gorgeous. However, it is very hard layer, you can not mod it and usually it is hard to mix with different designers. Luckily, I had no trouble mixing GizzA with Baiastice! Especially since they released such brilliant creations. Sissy and Giz really made mesh work for them and then some! I can not wait until the there is working mesh deformer script! Anyway, enough of my nay-saying and on with the' Look of the Day'. I Almost Forgot to Post This!

I have no idea where my mind is at lately. I took these pics last night. Edited them and then posted to Flickr today.  I had this strange feeling that I forgot to do something... And, duh! It was creating this post to go with the aforementioned pics. The most important part! Back wearing Black

It seems like forever since I have done an actual post. I have spent the last few day setting up my new laptop!!!! Yay! So far so good. I can run and jump, while wearing mesh and having shadows enabled, like I were on a low setting on my previous laptop. My only disappointment is with the graphics of the mesh viewers. I had been so in love with Kirsterns Viewer that it was really difficult to find a viewer that could compare. So, I had a lot of playing around to do with settings and such on about 5 different viewers. Only to find that, unless I am photographing mesh, I am going to try and use Kirtsens as long as I possibly can. I know Rome was not built in a day, even in SL( I know... lame joke), and the mesh viewers will be amazing in a few months. SL moves fast like that. Anyway, I figured I would test my new system's skills at the stunning New York City SIM. The new  CHADO COAT DRESS, from the uber fabulous Applonia Criss, was the perfect piece to go with this seriously chic place. Applonia's designs just keep getting more amazing with each new release!
