What is FTLO..... Up To Next??????

All about FTLO... (RED).....

As per organizer Rhed Rhode......

You're invited to help the world....to make a small dent in a very big global issue.
Perhaps you went to FTLO Halloween, or FTLO Ice Fest, or maybe you did my last two hunts "For the love of...Science" and "For the love of...Fall" but right now, at this very moment, I'm working on something MUCH bigger and I think it's important.
FTLO is working on something big....a way to make a difference.
We'd very much like you to be a part of it.
Last year alone, nearly half a million babies were born with HIV or AIDS
This charity event is to raise money to make a sizable donation to (RED)™ I am in no way infringing or claiming affiliation with (Red) or it's affiliates The Global Fund, & the United Nations respectively.
Since it's launch in 2006 (RED has raised over $160 Million for the Global Fund™ .
(RED) works with major labels and designers to partner in raising money and generating awareness for the Global Fund, the Global Fund in turn uses 100% of it's proffits to finance HIV health and community support in Africa with a focus on women and children with HIV and AIDS.

SO here's how it will work:
You as a designer can volunteer your time/services and design 2 items, Both to be sold with 100% of the cost going to (RED). Both items must be red or heavily accented with Red. You CAN make up to 5 items if you choose, but every item must be red. The two donation items will be using my vendors and will be clearly labelled as the charity items.
This event will have 100% transparency. I have set up an SL account named "RedCharity" Her entire transaction history will be copy pasted in it's entirity on the FTLO website and updated weekly. At the end of the event, I will cash out the L on that account and donate the FULL AMOUNT to (RED) and copy paste the confirmation receipt onto the FTLO website. (they require a credit card donation and so this is the easiest way lol)

How can you help?
Designers can make red lovely things for the event, send notices in their groups, plurks, facebooks etc. and refer other designers to help in the event.
Bloggers can blog the items, cover the event, submit to new feeds, refer designers and other bloggers to help in the effort.
Group members can come to the event, tell their friends, share the LM in their groups, shop, and donate to the (RED) Tip Jar. AND let me say this clearly: FTLO will keep NO proffits from this event, the land will be donated by me, there will be NO overhead for this event. It costs NOTHING to participate for you, no fee...just your time and creativity :) Your Landmark will go out with each sale, you may place ONE of EITHER a group inviter (either a subscriber or an in world group) OR a landmark giver (not both...otherwise the sim will be LAGGGGY lol)

SPECIFICS:
The "For the Love of...(RED)" event will start on February 5th @4pm SLT and end on February 27th @4pm SLT.

Some More 'FTLO Gacha' That You Must Get!

Who doesn't love gacha machines? To me, they are across between those 25 cent candy machines and slot machines. Once you start, you just can't stop until you hit the jackpot! They should put a warning sticker stating: "Gacha's May Be Habit Forming!".You know how it goes, you see all the pretty colors/ textures of a certain item and they are priced really low. So you figure you'll try just once. If you get the color you really want; great! if you don't; you will be cool with what you have. However, that NEVER happens. At least in my case. *LOL*. I start with one, which is almost never my favorite choice, and then figure it's so cheap that I can afford to try again. But then I get same color! Next thing you know that initial $25-50L has turned into $400L. You could have bought the fatpack twice! Just for one color! Now, I could go on and on, ad nauseum...but I know you get what I am talking about. At least I hope :p

Even More FTLO Halloween!

Ok, I think Aurora has basically taken all the words out my mouth in her previous post of 'FTLO Halloween'. *LOL* So, all I can basically do is reaffirm her words and show you some amazing creations from some of the great designers participating in this event. By the way, there is a mini hunt on the 'FTLO Halloween' SIM (hint: look for the black and white leaves), so you definitely do not want to miss out on that.
I wanted to pay due notice to 'FTLO' creator Rhed Rhode. She created every inch of this awe inspiring SIM. This is definitely a MUST see, even if you don't plan on shopping or participating in the hunt. The whole theme is done in grey scale and has a very 'Tim Burton' (aka 'Nightmare Before Christmas & Beetlejuice) feel to it. Rhed's hard work definitely paid off and you have until the 31st to see it. Trust me, you DO NOT want to miss this!

These are definitely 2 of my favorite pieces from FTLO. Avy Fhang took the Halloween theme and created 2 very fashion forward pieces. 'Bloody Mary' could definitely be warn any other day of year, which is one of the major things I love that about it. Avy's designs are always impeccably rendered with tons of attention to detail. Her clothes follow the female form to a 'T' and will make any woman feel incredible. The hoody and leggings,which are made by Rhed Rhode, are absolutely adorable. Awwwww! Arrrrrraaaawwrrraaa! *LOL* I also must give mad props (lmao) to mah girl ova here and co-author. Not only is she a talented designer, but a fabulous blogger too! You got to love her youthful designs, like the uber sleek 'Candy Corn or BUST' tube dress, which is very cute and sexy as well. I love that Aurora can do sexy, without going over the top and looking slutty. I also can never get enough of her tube dresses, which in this case is also a 'FTLO' hunt prize. Good luck in finding that!
Then we have her 'Sweet Little Candy Corn' dress, which is for sale at the 'FTLO' SIM for just $100L. This another super cute dress that is just perfect for girls who don't want to do the 'scary thing' for Halloween. I also wanted make a quick mention about the 'Crafty' hair from Ploom, which I am wearing with the tube dress. Who doesn't love hat hair? So, a witches hat with gorgeous hair is definitely the prefect combo. Plus, there is a very easy to use HUD that changes the hair streaks, hat color and rim color. So, for all you bitches, I mean witches*lol*, this is definitely my pick for Halloween hair. All I can say is "WOW". Mochi Milena is one of SL's most extraordinary skin designers. I am alway amazed at the amount of realism acheived and the fact that she draws them by hand! Here we have 2 very different skins, but both are perfect for Halloween. We have the 'Dia De Los Muertos', which is Spanish for 'Day of The Day'. If anyone has witnessed this festival, which is held on November 2nd thoughout Mexico, they would see similar intricate designs painted on masks, cakes, etc... Anyway, Mochi really created a work of art with this piece. It's as beautiful as it is scary. Plus, there is a cleavage option.
Then we have 'Bloodthirsty'. I love how Mochi rendered the fangs into blood red lips. The porcelain skin is the prefect contrast to this vampy piece. There are 3 different skin layers included, so you can have the prefect brow color to match your hair. 'Bloodthirsty' also comes with 2 cleavage options in the form of tatt layers and 4 brow shapes. Come on, just because you look scary, doesn't mean that you have to forgo looking HAWT! Now, if you are looking for something a but more dressy, Noena Merlin has a fabulous dress for you. While still maintaining the festive colors of orange and brown, Noena creates some pretty prims for full skirt.She also adds a bit a sultriness with a 'cut-out' bodice, which bares most of your midriff. FTLO.......Science!

As you all may have noted, I have been posting hunt items over the past week from the 'FTLO...Science' Hunt. Well, her are couple more. I have to say that these items are some of the most creative I have seen yet. I think this particular hunt has forced many designers to step outside their comfort zone a bit and get in touch with their 'inner geek'. They have definitely faired well.

There have definitely been in people in my life who have accused of me of thinking that I was the center of the universe. Now, I can to prove to them that I really am. *LOL* This is definitely one of my favorite pieces, for obvious reason. Plus, it brings back memories of science fairs past.... I really don't know what else this can be used for, but it's a lot of fun. You have got to love Rhed's sense of humor, because this seriously made me laugh out loud. Ok this is another item that literally made *LOL*. If anyone knows me in RL they will get why. I am ALWAYS losing my keys, I can't tell you how many times I have been late to appts, work, etc..., because I couldn't find keys. If I had this key chain in RL, I think this issue would be solved. I should ask Anyalia if she can repliacte a RL version of this. Plus, you can't beat the "have chemistry set, will travel" and the handy calculator.
